Despite growing up in a cycling family, it took Erwin years to find his own way onto the bike. After working as a teacher, a job that never quite fit, he eventually discovered that riding gave him something he’d been missing: the freedom to be fully himself. On the bike, his thoughts settle, his creativity awakes, and the world feels like somewhere he belongs. Living with ADHD has shaped the way Erwin moves through life: fast, curious and full of ideas. But it’s only one part of his story. Accepting that he’s wired a little differently has opened doors rather than closing them. It’s allowed him to think outside the box, dream bigger, and create (Green Divide). But Erwin’s life isn’t just defined by big routes. Bikepacking trips with friends, slow family adventures with his kid, or any day spent turning pedals is equally important to him. Cycling isn’t about performance, it’s about joy, connection, and a reminder to stay true to who he is. Erwin is someone who found his path a little later, who rides with curiosity and heart, and who proves that being yourself fully and honestly can take you further than anything else.

For Wiebke, cycling is about more than exploring new places. It’s about the people you meet, the stories you share, and the connections you make along the way. She loves travelling solo, embracing the freedom, openness and unexpected encounters that come with it. But for Wiebke, being independent never means being disconnected. Personal connections are at the heart of every journey. From a long adventure through Africa, which became the foundation for her book, to a her bike film SAME SUN, she follows her curiosity wherever it leads. And while she loves riding solo, she thrives on riding together — especially with other women, sharing energy, experiences and strength. www.schwalbe.com
